TRC Solar deploys best of brand, industry leading photovoltaic solar panels and components in its installations. We utilize the highest-efficiency monocrystalline solar PV modules, used on large scale utility systems and on-grid rooftop commercial systems. The inverters feature a fast and dynamic MPPTs and industry leading DC voltage range and integrated Arc fault circuit interrupt. All equipment is CSA certified and carry industry leading warranties.
How Does Solar Power Work?
An electric current is generated when solar power hits the PV (photovoltaic) array. Electrons are then excited, causing electron flow to take place in the PV cell. This generates a perpetual, unidirectional DC current. AC current is not unidirectional and instead changes over time. Since AC is used for residential and commercial solar, the inverter will transform the DC current into an AC current. Post inversion, electricity will be generated and used from the solar power plant. Any excess energy created will be fed back into the grid and credited to you using a net-metering system.
